SYMPTOMS OF COVID 19

Should my child be in school?
Children cannot be in school if they (or anyone in their household) have any of these specific symptoms, until the person with the symptoms has had a negative test.
The NHS currently advises that these are the most common symptoms of Covid19:
high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need
to measure your temperature)
new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more
coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot
smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
NOTE: You or your child may have other symptoms similar to the above, but at the moment, only these specific symptoms are clear indicators of Covid and would require a test to be arranged.
