    CURRENT SITUATION It goes without saying that these are absolutely exceptional times in our country’s history. The ‘normal’ has gone out of the window and nearly everything has to be dealt with on a totally different basis. Change is always hard, but at this time of extreme change we must look after each other and try to remain as positive as possible, especially for our beautiful children.

    FIRST CONFESSION PROGRAMME 2020 (Y3s) The children will be finally making their first Confessions this Saturday at 2pm at St Bernard’s Church. Please pray for them as they receive this Holy Sacrament.

    Y4 COMMUNION PROGRAMME Catholic children wanting to make their First Communion in June 2020 will be starting their preparation lessons on Wednesday 11th March 6.30pm.

    ADVENT 2019 The Church’s season of Advent, lasts for approximately 4 weeks from the 1st December to the 25th December and is a time for us to pray and engage in charitable works in preparation for the great feast of Christmas when Jesus was born. All our fundraising (except the Christmas Fayre) will be focussed on CAFOD World Gifts.

    CONFIRMATION PROGRAMME 2019-20 All Catholic children currently in Y6 (and above) are eligible to be confirmed in their faith by the Bishop of Leeds on 5th February 2020. The next workshop for both parents and children will take place in school on Tuesday 12th November at 6.30pm and then again on the 26th November at the same time.
    NATIVITY PERFORMANCE Our KS1 and Foundation Stage children will be presenting us with the timeless story of the birth of Jesus on Thursday 12th December at 2pm. All parents and friends of our school are very welcome to join us!!

    Halifax parishes receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation from Bishop Marcus at St
    Malachy’s Church on Wednesday evening last week. Congratulations to them all!
