Dear Parents and Children

On the left of this page you will find links to home learning websites and tasks for your child to access during any absence from school.

In addition to the generic websites (such as BBC Bitesize and Oak National Academy) we have two specific sites that we strongly advise you and your child to engage with. These are CENTURY and SEESAW.

Teachers will run Zoom lessons each day during a lockdown or bubble closure. Zoom IDs and Passcodes are always the same one you were sent by your child's teacher at the beginning of a lockdown or bubble closure. NB: The only exception to this will be if your child's teacher is not well enough to run Zoom lessons. We hope you will understand if this happens.

CONTACTING TEACHERS: During term time, outside the weekend and in normal school hours we are happy for you to email your child's teacher or message them on Seesaw about any issues around the homework tasks, or the learning that is taking place in school. All teachers email addresses follow the same pattern:  initial of their first name, followed by their surname@st-marys-halifax.calderdale.sch.uk   (ie:  jbloggs@st-marys-halifax.calderdale.sch.uk)

NURTURE & SAFEGUARDING (Learning Mentor): Mrs Pollard is available 3 days a week to communicate with, should you want to share mental health concerns or seek well-being advice on....

lmentor@st-marys-halifax.calderdale.sch.uk

SCHOOL OFFICE:  Our office staff are also always available to help with administrative issues...

You can also always email me personally if there is an issue you feel I can you help with.
