"My child was always very happy at St Mary's..... she is in all the top sets at her High school and that is because of St Mary's" (Y6 Leavers' Survey 2016)

Welcome to St Mary's.

Welcome to our website. I think we have managed to make it quite practical and comprehensive but if there is something missing that you would find useful please let us know.

St Mary's Catholic Primary School has been in existence since 1846, making it one of the oldest educational institutions in the Diocese of Leeds and the Halifax area. We are proud of our Catholic heritage and consider this to be central to all we try to achieve with our pupils.

We want all our pupils to reach their full potential in every way, but we especially want them to know that God loves each of them as unique and special individuals. In partnership with parents, carers, parishioners and external agencies we know we can achieve these objectives.

Mark Brennan

Headteacher

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and all the Governors, staff and volunteers share this commitment.
